Hi, I’m Cathryn Lloyd Founder/Director of Maverick Minds, a small creative professional development service. I believe that creativity is our greatest natural resource and is at the heart of being human. I love working with others to bring creativity to life. My strength is to work collaboratively with my clients, through creative facilitation and coaching. I am particularly interested in working with people who are open, curious, and willing to experiment.
If that describes you, then let’s talk.
Creativity is at the heart of human endeavour and we need everyone’s creativity at the table. Communication, connection, compassion, and care along with creativity are qualities and capabilities we need in order to live and work in an increasingly complex world. These are some of the qualities and ingredients needed in leadership, management and teams in organisational life and for individuals seeking to live a creative life.
I have over 20 years experience across creative industries, business and academia and I love working with people who are willing and ready to make changes and see the benefit in working creatively and collaboratively. I bring a multi-disciplinary and creative approach to the work I do with clients including corporate, public, not-for-profit and individuals.
Maverick Minds workshops and coaching programs are experiential, creative, reflective and systems focused. This approach enables clients to gain new perspectives, clarity and the confidence to take action and to understand the systems they operate in and how to work creatively within that context and environment. I also collaborate with other facilitators and coaches when the need is there.
My programs and coaching are committed to helping people make positive changes, from a personal and collective perspective. Creativity is essential for our health and wellbeing.
I’m an accredited Team Management Systems (TMS) Team Management Profiles (TMP) and (LLP) practitioner; a certified team coach with the Global Team Coaching Institute and European Mentoring and Coaching Council. I’m a regular early morning swimmer and yoga practitioner. I have a small art studio I like to escape to and make art – mixed media actually – collages. I love the Granite Belt as a region to escape to. I am also fortunate to live in one of the greatest areas in the city of Brisbane, I live and work on Jagera and Turrbal Country and pay my respects to the oldest living culture, Australia’s indigenous peoples and I value their creativity, culture and deep love and connection to country.
